Role
Principal Designer
Scope
I lead design for a shared rewards and commerce platform powering shopping experiences across airlines and financial-institution partners. The work balances platform scale, partner differentiation, and a complex offer ecosystems—while keeping the experience clear, trustworthy, and easy to use across devices. I partner with product, engineering, and marketing to evolve the platform in ways that support both long-term scalability, member satisfaction, and partner-specific goals. I led platform-level UX and visual design across core shopping experiences, partner theming, and reusable patterns.
Designing loyalty commerce across airlines and financial institutions introduces a unique challenge: multiple partners with distinct brands, audiences, and business goals, all operating on top of one underlying platform.
The platform needs to:
Support large volumes of offers and merchants without overwhelming users
Maintain trust and clarity in a highly transactional environment
Allow partners to feel meaningfully differentiated (not “templated”)
Scale across surfaces (desktop, mobile, and key adoption entry points)
Enable growth work without fragmenting the core system
I led design across:
• Core shopping experience patterns (offer discovery, hierarchy, scannability, trust cues)
Partner theming and customization (brand expression without breaking usability)
Growth and acquisition surfaces (entry points that clearly communicate value)
Reusable platform components that support consistency and speed
The result is a flexible platform system that can adapt to different partners while preserving a cohesive, high-quality experience.
